Our friends at Pulliam-Morris Interiors treated the John Rutledge House Inn to a recent makeover. The interior design team traveled to Charleston and brought along some fresh paint, new furniture and gorgeous drapery, adding a more modern flair to the John Rutledge House Inn’s historic Grand Suites. Here are a few behind the scenes photos from the re-decoration.
Our two Grand Suites are perched on either side of the inn’s main entrance. What lies behind the two sets of tall, dark wooden doors is an expanse of 900 luxurious square feet. The Grand Suites are magnificent and feature many of the home’s original details like Italian marble fireplaces and sliding wooden doors.
The Inn’s Grand Suites provide the perfect entertaining space, offering a front area with comfortable couches and large, bright windows that look out over Broad Street. The adjoining bedroom offers romantic lighting, a canopied bed and a large bathroom (whirlpool tub included).
The suites’ newly appointed wall colors pop against their white 12-foot ceilings and crown molding. We’re loving the new calming camel color for the right suite and soothing shade of blue for the left suite. Elegant drapes adorn each window and refreshing fabrics cover new couches, love seats and sleeper sofas.
This is just a glimpse at what you can expect to see during your next visit to the John Rutledge House Inn. Take a peek at our latest special rates and packages – there’s still time to book one last summer getaway to Charleston.
