Keep your home-grilling plans on the back burner this Fourth of July and celebrate your Independence Day in true Southern fashion. Join Circa 1886 Restaurant and Wentworth Mansion for the 7th Annual Sizzling Southern Celebration on Wednesday July 4th from 7:30-10:00 pm.
The evening affair is set on the picturesque lawn between the stately Wentworth Mansion and adjacent carriage house turned-Circa 1886 Restaurant. Guests will celebrate with their fellow patriots underneath a canopy of live oak trees, cold libations in hand – a live jazz soloist creating the soundtrack.
The evening’s picnic-inspired menu, prepared by Chef Marc Collins of Circa 1886, features Summer Truffle & Fingerling Potato Salad, Carolina Peel n’ Eat Shrimp, Whiskey Baked Beans, Grilled Lemon Pepper Quail, Antelope Burger Sliders, Watermelon Floats and Banana Pudding Ice Cream Sandwiches. View the full delicious menu here.
As the dark sets in, you’ll experience a 360-degree firework show from the Wentworth Mansion cupola. The cupola’s famous panoramic view of the city promises an explosion of red, white and blue in every direction.
The Sizzling Southern Celebration is $70 per person, which includes dinner and a glass of champagne. Couples looking to extend the celebration into the morning may take advantage of the Wentworth Mansion’s amazing accommodations with a special overnight rate of $499. The package includes a romantic one night stay at the Mansion, an afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, two seats at the Sizzling Southern Celebration and a decadent breakfast at Circa 1886 the following morning.
