If you’re looking for the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail, look no further than The Ginger Snap. This aptly named zingy autumn drink is equal parts refreshing and delicious. The holidays in Charleston call for warm kitchens and temperate outdoor climates, making this libation the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail. Comprised of barrel-aged gin, Tuaca, and housemade ginger beer, this drink is herbaceous and effervescent. In addition, a splash of orange bitters and twist for garnish, make all the flavors brighter. Most noteworthy, the team at Circa 1886 concocts their own ginger beer in-house making this drink even tastier.
When in Charleston, be sure to stop in for happy hour or for a full dining experience. The patio at Circa 1886 offers an environment with lush gardens and warm hospitality. If your travels don’t bring you into Circa 1886, we’ve included the delicious recipe below. While the original recipe calls for housemade ginger beer, we recommend using locally-made Blenheim’s ginger ale at home.

1 oz Tuaca Orange-flavored liqueur
a splash Orange Bitters
4 oz Housemade ginger beer
