Last week the John Rutledge House Inn had the pleasure of hosting two road tripping sisters, Amanda and Ashley Gayle. A longtime employee of Select Registry’s Inn at Warner Hall in Gloucester, Virginia, Amanda has decided to head out west and pursue culinary school. What better way to travel across America than to stay other Select Registry properties?
The John Rutledge House is a bed and breakfast in the Select Registry portfolio – and the first stop on the sisters’ cross country road trip. Along for the ride: their dog Sid, who enjoyed our pet-friendly carriage house accommodations (and personal stash of dog biscuits.)
Spending only twenty-four hours in Charleston is tough, but these ladies made the best of it. They squeezed in time to nosh on some southern cuisine (our shrimp&grits included), take in the views from the piazza, and even go for a run down to the famous waterfront. Read about the Gayle sisters’ stay at the John Rutledge House.
Amanda and Ashley are close to their final destination: Santa Cruz, California. We’ve had a blast reading their first hand experiences at our fellow luxury bed and breakfasts’ across the country. “Staying Select” is a great way travel. Best of luck on your next adventure, Amanda!
