It’s a crisp, beautiful here morning in Charleston. With not a cloud in the sky and a cool breeze blowing downtown, Penelope the Pineapple has made the first stop on her five-week vacation. Each stop on her itinerary has a special relation to each of Charming Inns’ properties. This morning, she’s soaking up some history at one of Charleston’s most famous and beautiful buildings downtown.
Penelope sent us a few photos from her tour. When it comes right down to it, this building is perhaps one of the most important places in relation to America’s independence from England. Just before the Declaration of Independence was signed, a very important man in Charming Inn’s own history was sworn in as the first President of South Carolina here.
So… just where is Penelope this morning? Send your answer to specials@charminginns.com or send us a Facebook message!
