2015 Holiday Progressive Dinner at Circa 1886 Restaurant

Stop 1: Hors d’ oeuvres at the Kings Courtyard Inn  Dinner served at Kings Courtyard Inn Your evening will begin at 5:30 pm at the historic Kings Courtyard Inn. Get in the holiday spirit with the Hot Honey Bourbon Spiced Apple Cider or the Gingerbread Eggnog. Enjoy one of the open-air courtyards, or step inside by the fire and enjoy bites of Chicken Fontina Polpetta, Barbecue Pork Biscuit with Peach Jam, Smoked Paprika Glazed Spanakopita, Shrimp Cocktail, Assorted Cheeses and Fruit, and Veggie Shooters with Fennel Pollen Buttermilk Dressing.   Stop 2: Dinner at Circa 1886 Restaurant Guests eating dinner at Circa 1886 in Charleston On your carriage ride, the quiet, tree-lined streets of Charleston will lead you to Circa 1886 Restaurant, located on the grounds of the luxurious Wentworth Mansion. Chef Marc Collins has created an exquisite three-course menu. Start with a sampling of Sharp White Cheddar Soup with Chive Pesto and a Field Greens Salad with Golden Raisins, Crumbled Feta Cheese, and Hazelnut Vinaigrette before enjoying the main course. Choose from Grilled Loc Duart Salmon with a White Bean and Kale Cassoulet and Vanilla n’ Tellicherry Pepper Chantilly or Roasted 1855 Beef Tenderloin with Caramelized Onion Grits, Grilled Asparagus, Cabernet Mushroom Glace.  

Stop 3: Dessert and Coffee at the John Rutledge House Inn Guests having dessert at John Rutledge House Inn After a carriage ride through Charleston's charming and well-decorated historic district you will wind down with coffee and dessert at the John Rutledge House Inn. Guests will make their way to the ballroom where Pastry Chef Scott Lovorn will leave guests dreaming of sugar plums dancing in their heads. Guests will delight in an assortment of petit fours and cookies along with Scott's signature holiday confections: Candy Cane Pluff Mudd, Eggnog Yule Log, and Red Velvet Cheesecake.   Hors d’oeuvres start at 5:30 p.m. and the evening wraps up at 8:30 p.m. The cost is $100.00 per person, excluding beverages.
