Win the Ultimate Culinary Escape to Charleston, SC!
On December 31, 1999
Circa 1886 opened their doors for the very first time to host a New Year’s Eve dinner. 20 years later, Circa 1886 is one of Charleston’s most beloved restaurants. A few years after the opening of the Wentworth Mansion, Charming Inns Chairman Rick Widman wanted to create a freestanding, full service compound within the Harleston Village neighborhood to accompany the historic inn. He envisioned a space where people can converse in a comfortable setting while enjoying southern food that showcases Charleston’s culinary history two decades later, Circa 1886 is home to just that and so much more. 2020 is the year of celebrating Circa 1886 and sharing all of the wonderful stories, experiences, and menus that have helped transcend the success of the restaurant over the years.
To start the celebration, we are conducting a contest asking to see the best ‘Showstopper Dish’! Tell us about your crowd-pleasing, mouth-watering and plate licking dish that you can’t get enough of. Submit a photo and the story behind the Showstopper Dish. Then gather votes from your family and friends on social media to win. The winner of the contest will receive the ultimate culinary escape to Charleston! The prize includes a two-night stay at the Wentworth Mansion, a couples massage, a private cocktail making class and a 5-course dinner with wine pairing with Chef Marc Collin at Circa 1886. The contest ends on March 31, 2020.
