festival of houses and gardens Every spring, the city of Charleston comes into full bloom as warmer weather arrives. Birds are chirping, jasmine and azaleas are blooming, and visitors and locals alike are celebrating the arrival of the Historic Charleston Foundation's Festival of Houses and Gardens.   Set in the heart of the Charleston’s Old & Historic District, this series of award-winning tours and events showcase Charleston’s distinctive architecture, history, gardens and culture. The tours provide an exceptional opportunity for guests to go inside the private houses and gardens of some of America’s most beautiful historic residences. From daily morning walks through the Historic District, to plantation tours, wine tastings, and lectures for even the most seasoned gardeners, the Festival of Houses and Gardens is sure to entertain and educate all patrons. There has never been a better time to visit Charleston. The tours begin on March 16 and run until April 24th. We recommend making your reservation early, to ensure tickets are available.   The Kings Courtyard Inn has created a package with the Historic Charleston Foundation Festival of Houses and Gardens that provides a exclusive opportunity to experience several different tours.
