Spoleto Festival USA 2019

Every May, Charleston turns from a peaceful historic city to a vibrant stage artist and thespians alike.
Brilliant Performances & Fabulous Food
Founded in 1977, this eagerly-anticipated annual event plays host to a variety of gifted, world-famous performers and emerging artists. Additionally, Piccolo Spoleto will feature over 500 events throughout the festival from May 24 to June 9. The traditional focus of Piccolo Spoleto is on artists from the Southeastern region of the country. They will offer performances in a variety of literary and performing arts, including theatre, poetry readings, visual arts exhibits, dance, jazz, opera, chamber music, choral music, and classical music. Films, ethnic cultural presentations, and crafts will also be featured.
Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto have traditionally inspired our chefs and the staff at our own Circa 1886. Based on a foundation of “Lowcountry Classic” cuisine, our menu is always seasonally vibrant, and each plate from appetizers to dessert bespeaks pure culinary brilliance. During Spoleto, we will start seating at 5 pm and end at 10 pm so our guests attending events can easily enjoy dinner with us.
