The Carriage House

Situated in the southeast corner of the Wentworth Mansion property is a two story brick carriage house. While the family of Francis Silas Rodgers occupied the mansion the first level of this building was used to house a buggy,  Victoria carriage and a landau carriage. The second was separated into rooms where the coachman and the gardener resided. Currently nestled behind the Wentworth Mansion in the original carriage house is Circa 1886 restaurant.  This elegant fine dining restaurant is where Chef Marc Collins uses his talents to celebrate Charleston with contemporary cuisine elegantly crafted with the finest ingredients from local fields, pastures, and waters. Circa 1886 has been awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award since 2004, the Forbes Four - Star Restaurant Award since 2006 and is #16 on TripAdvisor's "Best Fine Dining Restaurants in U.S." of 2016. charleston's food scene, the booths: plug romance package. upstairs events.
