This year’s Festival of Houses and Gardens is particularly special because this year marks the 350th anniversary of the commemoration of Charleston. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Historic Charleston Foundation has added new events that take a deeper look at Charleston’s history, culture, and diversity. Each event will give participants an opportunity to reflect on Charleston's three and a half-century long history and what the future holds of this historic city.

The 72nd Festival of Houses and Gardens in Charleston starts from March 11 until April 18, 2020. The six main events include House and Garden Tours, Morning History Walk, Rose and Roses in the Garden, Container Gardening: Charleston’s Over-the-Top Pots, Gullah Spirituals Concerts and Spirits, and Spirituals in the Courtyard. Whether you are House and Garden Tour veteran or blossoming historian, there are plenty of events that will capture your heart and mind.
