This March, the Charleston Wine + Food Festival will welcome chefs, winemakers, and foodies from across the nation for a four-day celebration of Charleston's culinary excellence and renowned culture. If you've never participated in the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, this year is the perfect opportunity to explore the best of Charleston's amazing culinary offerings. The Wentworth Mansion has created an exclusive four night package with tickets to events that will promise the perfect epicurean adventure. Built in 1886 as a private residence this beautiful mansion is located in downtown Charleston in the historic district just a short walk from Francis Marion Square – the site of the 2016 Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Wentworth-Mansion-Food-and-Wine-Gourmand Guests will begin their weekend at Thursday afternoon’s Baked at Bowen’s at Bowens Island. Get hooked at this feast of fire-cooked tails and scales. The festival is reeling in Atlantic flavors and techniques and bringing a good ole’ salmon bake right to the edge of the east coast, complete with a bounty of Northwestern wines. On Friday guests will enjoy the festival’s Culinary Village at Marion Square. The Village ticket gives you access all day between 12 noon until 5pm featuring hundreds of chefs, winemakers, tastemakers, artisans and authors, this is an experience not to be missed. After a few hours of rest, head out to Divine Rhapsody at the Circular Congregational Church for an evening of soulful notes. Divine Rhapsody promises to be the ultimate jam session. Devour delicious bites from South Carolina Department of Agriculture Chef Ambassadors while enjoying amazing wine, listening to stellar live music and observing an intimate conversation between a trinity of culinary, literary and musical artists. Lolis Elie, acclaimed food writer and former road manager, will lead this intimate and inspiring discussion between chef and musician. Experience all of this within one of the Holy City’s most historic and exquisite church structures. Perfect harmony awaits. Food-and-Wine-Gourmand Enjoy a leisurely Saturday morning before heading out on the water for Coastal Cuvee. What better way to experience Charleston than by boat? Spiritline Cruises will be your ultimate captain, playing host aboard the Spirit of the Lowcountry, a three-deck luxury dining yacht. Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the Charleston harbor while indulging in a delicious spread prepared by Chef Mason Mullock and sampling of wines from across the globe. On Saturday evening guests will stroll over to the original carriage house in the rear of the property to experience Circa 1886 for an amazing Signature Dinner where Chef Marc Collins will play host to 2015 James Beard Best Chef Award winner, Michael Anthony of Untitled in New York and Oregon winemaker Ken Wright of Ken Wright Cellars for an evening of unforgettable food and wine. Sunday morning will prove to be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the famed Sunday Gospel Brunch on the lawn of Ashley Hall School. This event is all soul, y’all, with hand-clappin’ and foot-tappin’! For 2016 a bold choir of chefs will prepare this family-style feast, with brunch cocktails to boost your spirits.
