Travel + Leisure "World's Best" Party in NYC

[caption id="attachment_712" align="alignnone" width="1000" caption="Inside the Grand Mansion Suite"][/caption] Flattered, thrilled, grateful... We can't find the right words to justify how we're feeling here at the Wentworth Mansion lately. We're still basking in the glow of our recent top honors from Travel + Leisure Magazine (T+L). Just two weeks ago, the highly-anticipated reader's choice World's Best Awards were announced. The Wentworth Mansion was crowned America's Top Small City Hotel and the 12th Best Hotel in the World, to which we say THANK YOU!

The locales of T+L World's Best Hotels span from the exotic outer-reaches of the globe and back around to the United States. (In fact, our 21-room inn here in Charleston, S.C. is one of three U.S. properties in the top 20 picks.) Our luxury inn sits between The Peninsula in Bangkok, Thailand (#11) and  Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve Lodges, Kruger National Park Area in South Africa (#13). Now, that is some amazing company to be in.

Travel + Leisure Magazine says, "Readers passionate about travel vote on the hotels they love the most. The World’s Best Awards are a collection of the properties that go above and beyond." The voting categories are "rooms, location, service, food, and value- this year’s results showcase the hotels and destinations that are important now." Get the full scoop here and see the full World's Best List. Now it's celebration time. Early tomorrow morning, Wentworth Mansion Owners Rick Widman & Linn Lesesne and Innkeeper Noreen Marchant take off to the Big Apple. Here they will officially accept their T+L awards and celebrate in true New York City fashion with fellow award winners. The trio is letting us all in on the NYC fun. While in New York, Noreen will be the Executive Twitter-er in Charge. She'll share live updates via Twitter (@WWMansionChas) and check in around town on Foursquare. Follow the Wentworth Mansion team for photos and party updates.  The Wentworth Mansion was recently treated to a website makeover, putting the beauty and luxury of the inn at your fingertips. Take a peek at the site and imagine yourself vacationing at one of the world's best hotels, right here in lovely little Charleston.
