In March, the Charleston Wine + Food Festival will host chefs, winemakers, and foodies from far and wide for a five-day celebration of Charleston’s culinary excellence. If you’ve never participated in the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, this year is the perfect opportunity to indulge in the best of Charleston’s amazing culinary offerings. The Wentworth Mansion has created an exclusive package with tickets to events that promise the perfect epicurean adventure. This exclusive three-night package (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) includes accommodations for two people in the luxurious Wentworth Mansion.  Built in 1886 as a private residence, this beautiful mansion is located in downtown Charleston in the historic district just a short walk from Marion Square – the site of the 2018 Wine + Food Festival.

Guests begin their weekend Thursday night with The Edna Effect (6pm-9pm). Edna Lewis was a trailblazer in the contemporary revival of southern food. Her rural Virginia roots paved the way to her lifelong effort to recapture the soulful flavors of her childhood. The resounding impact of these efforts has left a mark on anyone who has tasted her food or felt her written voice. The event will take place at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant, departure time for this event will be 5:30 pm from the Wentworth Mansion. Prepare yourself for a full day on Friday starting with the festival’s Culinary Village. (12pm-5pm) The Culinary Village is the heart and soul of Charleston Wine + Food. Located in downtown’s Marion Square, the Village is the ultimate tasting experience. Your Village ticket grants five full hours of all-access tasting and imbibing. Check out the Main Stage where you can see live music, exciting demos and one-on-one conversations with chefs and winemakers. The Hub area will be full with even more food and beverage vendors, and the Artisan Market will be stocked full of incredible local and regional makers showcasing their masterful creations and unique flavors. Friday evening you will head to the Kismet Pop-up at Leon’s Oyster Shed (7 pm). The LA ladies of Kismet, Sara Kramer + Sarah Hymanson are taking over one of Charleston’s hippest Upper King Street haunts, The Oyster Shed at Leon’s Oyster Shop with local Chef, Ben McClean, for a one-night-only dinner extravaganza. Epic Middle Eastern flavors meet Southern fried chicken + seafood. After a leisurely breakfast to recharge your batteries your Saturday outing will be a special treat at Beyond Champagne (12:15pm-1:30 pm). All that sparkles is not Champagne. Join Eric Asimov, New York Times Wine Critic, as he takes you through a tasting experience and that uncovers the diversity of bubbly wines. Delight in thoughtful + unconventional food pairings that compliments a vast portfolio of sparkling wines. Pop. Fizz. Clink. Enjoy! Saturday evening guests stroll over to the original carriage house in the rear of the property to experience Circa 1886 for an amazing Signature Dinner. (7 pm) Indulge in an evening of culinary decadence as Chef Marc Collins welcomes a guest chef. The two will collaborate to create impeccable plates with tremendous flavor. Expertly paired wines selected from the Drouhin Winery portfolio will accompany this one of a kind affair. Sunday morning will be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the Harlem and Hominy Brunch (11am-1pm). The coveted Gospel Brunch infused with a whole ‘lotta soul. This decadent brunch will embody the southern inspirations + time-honored traditions of New York’s iconic neighborhood. Your taste buds will follow a trail from Charleston to Harlem with passionate flavors from NYC to the east of the Mississippi.   The Gourmand Package is limited in availability and is offered at a special rate of $3925 (plus 14% tax) for two people. A deposit in the amount of $2700 will be due at time of reservation.  Reservations include daily complimentary breakfast, complimentary afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine, complimentary wi-fi, and 24-hour concierge service.
